LTATM Talk Show - Moving Forward

Lets Talk About The Music - Moving Forward

On Dec 16, 2025, LTATM’s live “practice” premiere aired on 88.1 The Burg. My guest was Aleisha Cappellano, an old friend who’s been with the show since it began. The hour went by fast and was amazing. I’m excited for 2026 so LTATM can keep supporting independent musicians — growing from a simple podcast into a radio show aiming to reach everyone.

Season 2, Episode 1: Moving Forward!

On the blog, I’ve talked about the long journey it’s been, creating LTATM and finding ever-new ways to develop the dream. Now it’s time to celebrate the most recent steps in LTATM’s evolution!

A Brief Review:

I started putting Let's Talk About The Music together in January 2014, but it took me close to a year and 9 months: finding the direction, refining the vision, and a lot of sleepless nights. Then on December 23, 2015, it aired on Spreaker, and I completed more than 175 episodes.

Soon after, my talk show was set to air on KKNW in Seattle, but it was not the right time: I needed to figure out marketing and sponsorship, as well as take care of some personal issues. But that was when I knew I had something special with this show and made the goal to place it on the radio within 10 years! The show was aired on KRGR during the reboot of Let’s Talk About The Music, but that season only lasted for 10 episodes. Again, the talk show and I needed more time.

Then on October 2, 2024, the reinvigorated Let's Talk About The Music premiered with me as a solo podcaster. With my new education, it was finally the right time for LTATM! I created 30 episodes for Season 1, including writing blogs for each of them and placing the show on YouTube and Audioboom — giving fans the option of listening, reading, or watching each episode. It was fun and a lot of work, but I did it for the independent musicians. (OK, and a little for myself!)

LTATM’s Newest Incarnation:

As Let's Talk About The Music goes into its 11th year, I had a goal come true: I got to place the talk show onto 88.1 The Burg at CWU in Ellensburg, WA. Our current schedule is to air every Tuesday from 9-10 pm PST, kicking off on January 6, 2026. As of today, I have January completely planned and am working on February.

I will have to rewrite the production plan, because LTATM is now a live show and not a podcast. I think that is why I created LTATM Off The Mic. I wanted to create a short podcast that allows artists, band promoters, etc., to have fun answering one question in one minute. And of course, it still fulfills LTATM’s mission to provide connection and community across the indie music industry.

So now Let’s Talk About The Music is returning to a live show format! But I will also continue the music reviews and other topics as blog posts on the website. I am hoping to improve my writing, as I have a job with the CWU newspaper coming up soon. (And yes, my intrepid editor Denise is continuing with the team!)

Season 2, Episode 1: The First Live Show — and Happy Anniversary, LTATM!

On Dec 16, 2025, the live version of LTATM premiered on 88.1 The Burg as a “practice” run. My guest was Aleisha Cappellano, an old friend of mine who has been part of the talk show since it first began. The show may have only lasted an hour, but it was completely amazing! I cannot wait for 2026 to unfold so LTATM can continue supporting independent musicians and the indie industry — from a “simple” podcast to a radio show that is trying to reach everyone in the world.

Check the blog for a review of the current format. One thing that will stay the same: guest co-hosts choose the topic for their time on LTATM. I’ve done that for 11 years and plan on continuing. Fun fact: the day I am posting this, December 23, 2025, is the 11th year anniversary of LTATM’s first airing! Happy Anniversary, LTATM!!

Yes, this show has had its battles: people have tried to steal the show, people have told me I am not good enough to be a talk show host. I’ve gained a ton of experience and learned how to balance my mental health with my goals. But no matter what, I believe in myself and in the LTATM talk show. Here is to the future — whatever comes up, it is going to be one incredible ride. Let’s keep talking about the music, because the music is everywhere!

LTATM Started on Spreaker

It was the best place to start for LTATM back in 2015. Spreaker is the platform where LTATM Radio first came to life and began reaching listeners.
