Music Review: Fifteen Stitches
Looking for an amazing band? One rich with the many PNW music influences and possessing a raw, driving sound accompanied by powerful lyrics? Well, Fifteen Stitches is the band you want! They were guests on LTATM | Let’s Talk About The Music in Episode 15 (blog forthcoming), and now I want to dive into a deeper look at their incredible music.
I have been following Fifteen Stitches for many years and they consistently impress. A killer hard rock band from Tacoma, WA, the group describes their sound as “bare-knuckled rock” with influences from heavy rock, progressive, glam, and grunge. The band members have played with various groups (and various genres) for many years, but thank goodness they brought together the powerhouse that is Fifteen Stitches.
I have always loved lead singer Tim Perdue’s highly-energized vocals. Chris Pasinetti plays lead guitar with a barely-controlled madness — I can seriously see smoke coming off his flying fingers. Rob Field’s amazing bass adds the foundational layers that enrich every song in the set, while James Ortega powers everything forward with his blazing work on drums. Yeah, I do everything I can to see this band every chance I get.
Fifteen Stitches released their first EP, The Void, in 2018. After signing with WormHoleDeath Records, they unleashed their newest album, Beyond the Wall, earlier this year. According to the band’s bio, their song lyrics explore the human condition and “both examine humanity and give hope that we could be better to each other.”
New Peking Lounge Live Show
On Saturday, July 19, 2025, Fifteen Stitches performed at the New Peking Lounge. This dive bar is a relaxed place featuring a variety of Chinese and Asian dishes like hot pots, teriyaki, and chop suey. They are known for Karaoke nights and high-energy live band performances.
Fifteen Stitches always brings their best to every stage, providing the utmost entertainment possible, and Saturday’s show was exceptional. Shouting out their new music video, highlighting songs from their new album — they keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. If you just can't get enough (like me), be sure to look them up on Spotify or your favorite music streaming service, or just buy their albums. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
Still need convincing? Well, LTATM | Let's Talk About The Music just learned how to use TikTok LIVE, and you can watch the video of Saturday’s set on the LTATM YouTube channel or on the Fifteen Stitches Facebook page. This band would make Kurt Cohen and Chris Cornell proud, and they prove Seattle-Tacoma is still the home of the greatest rock bands in the country.
