Found Oblivion

Brand New Tacoma, WA Band

New Band Jitters:

This is to all the bands that read this post: Do you remember your very first time on stage with your bandmates? Do you remember how you felt? Were you a little nervous, maybe a little excited, with perhaps a little anxiety?

Very first live performance:

When I found out that I was going to review Found Oblivion’s very first live performance, I was super excited to see this band. I even messaged them for an interview right away. I didn’t get a response, but I figured they wanted to stay focused on their preparations. Turns out I was correct, because I did finally catch up with them at The Valley on March 29, 2024, to introduce myself and ensure I reviewed their show. Found Oblivion is the newest band hitting Tacoma, performing hard rock covers and a few originals.

Women, You got this!

I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but I did overhear Jon, the drummer, ask lead singer Jessica, “Are you ready?” She replied very nervously, “No!” However, once all four got up onto the stage and started jamming to their cover of Metallica’s “Sandman,” it was obvious that they were more than ready. I could immediately tell that Jessica will be the next powerful female lead singer in the Pacific Northwest. She will be in the ranks of Rebecca Terry (Baby and Nobodies) and Sky (Always Naked), to name just two. Jessica has the moves on stage, possess an amazing voice, and can completely capture the crowd. As long as Jessica has her bandmates supporting her, she can overcome anything.

Who are the bandmates in Found Oblivion:

The rest of Found Oblivion consists of Xavier on lead guitar (also the youngest member if the band); Jake on bass; and Jake’s father, Jon, on drums. All of them are incredibly talented, but don’t just take my word for it—go check them out. They have more upcoming shows in April, and you can find them on all social media platforms.
